LIMITS ON CHARGED PARTICLES IN HADRONIC REACTIONS

MASS LIMITS for Long-Lived Charged Heavy Fermions

INSPIRE   PDGID:
S030DY
Limits are for spin 1/2 particles with no color and SU(2)$_{L}$ charge. The electric charge $\mathit Q$ of the particle (in the unit of ${{\mathit e}}$) is therefore equal to its weak hypercharge. Pair production by Drell-Yan like ${{\mathit \gamma}}$ and ${{\mathit Z}}$ exchange is assumed to derive the limits.

1  AAD 2015BJ use 20.3 fb${}^{-1}$ of ${{\mathit p}}{{\mathit p}}$ collisions at $\mathit E_{{\mathrm {cm}}}$ = 8 TeV. See paper for limits for $\vert \mathit Q\vert $ = 3, 4, 5, 6.
2  CHATRCHYAN 2013AB use 5.0 fb${}^{-1}$ of ${{\mathit p}}{{\mathit p}}$ collisions at $\mathit E_{{\mathrm {cm}}}$ = 7 TeV and 18.8 fb${}^{-1}$ at $\mathit E_{{\mathrm {cm}}}$ = 8 TeV. See paper for limits for $\vert \mathit Q\vert $ = 3, 4,$\ldots$, 8.
3  CHATRCHYAN 2013AR use 5.0 fb${}^{-1}$ of ${{\mathit p}}{{\mathit p}}$ collisions at $\mathit E_{{\mathrm {cm}}}$ = 7 TeV.
