${{\mathit D}^{\pm}}$ $\mathit CP$-VIOLATING DECAY-RATE ASYMMETRIES

This is the difference between ${{\mathit D}^{+}}$ and ${{\mathit D}^{-}}$ partial widths for the decay to state ${{\mathit f}}$, divided by the sum of the widths:$

1  This is the integrated $\mathit CP$ asymmetry. LEES 2013F also searches for $\mathit CP$ asymmetries in four regions of the Dalitz plots (two of which are listed below); in comparisons of binned ${{\mathit D}^{+}}$ and ${{\mathit D}^{-}}$ Dalitz plots; in parametrized fits to those plots, including 2-body submodes; and in comparisons of Legendre-polynomial distributions for the ${{\mathit K}^{+}}{{\mathit K}^{-}}$ and ${{\mathit K}^{-}}{{\mathit \pi}^{+}}$ systems.
2  AUBERT 2005S measures $\mathit N$( ${{\mathit D}^{+}}$ $\rightarrow$ ${{\mathit K}^{+}}{{\mathit K}^{-}}{{\mathit \pi}^{+}}$ )/$\mathit N$( ${{\mathit D}_{{s}}^{+}}$ $\rightarrow$ ${{\mathit K}^{+}}{{\mathit K}^{-}}{{\mathit \pi}^{+}}$ ), the ratio of the numbers of events observed, and similarly for the ${{\mathit D}^{-}}$.
3  FRABETTI 1994I, AITALA 1998C, and LINK 2000B measure $\mathit N$( ${{\mathit D}^{+}}$ $\rightarrow$ ${{\mathit K}^{-}}{{\mathit K}^{+}}{{\mathit \pi}^{+}}$ )/$\mathit N$( ${{\mathit D}^{+}}$ $\rightarrow$ ${{\mathit K}^{-}}{{\mathit \pi}^{+}}{{\mathit \pi}^{+}}$ ), the ratio of numbers of events observed, and similarly for the ${{\mathit D}^{-}}$.
4  RUBIN 2008 performs a dedicated analysis of this decay mode on the same dataset, with slightly better precision. We therefore take it that BONVICINI 2014 does not supersede RUBIN 2008 's $\mathit A_{CP}$ result.
