The polarization is defined with respect to the daughter baryon momentum in the parent rest frame. See "Baryon Decay Parameters" review.

VALUE DOCUMENT ID TECN  COMMENT $0.34$ $\pm0.03$ $\pm0.01$ $\pm0.14$ 1 AAIJ 2023 Z LHCB 1.7fb${}^{-1}$, ${{\mathit p}}{{\mathit p}}$ at 13 TeV 1  AAIJ 2023Z uses an amplitude analysis of 400k ${{\mathit \Lambda}_{{{c}}}}$ $\rightarrow$ ${{\mathit p}}{{\mathit K}^{-}}{{\mathit \pi}^{+}}$ decays, the last uncertainty is due to the amplitude model. Sign determined per authors; see also AAIJ 2023AJ.
