1  AFFOLDER 2001F uses the reconstructed ${{\mathit B}}~$meson through semileptonic decay channels. The fraction of light ${{\mathit B}}~$mesons that are produced at $\mathit L$=1 ${{\mathit B}^{{**}}}$ states is measured to be $0.28$ $\pm0.06$ $\pm0.03$.
2  BARATE 1998L uses fully reconstructed ${{\mathit B}}$ mesons to search for ${{\mathit B}}{}^{**}$ production in the ${{\mathit B}}{{\mathit \pi}^{\pm}}$ system. In the framework of heavy quark symmetry (HQS), they also measured the mass of ${{\mathit B}_{{2}}^{*}}$ to be $5739$ ${}^{+8}_{-11}{}^{+6}_{-4}$ MeV/$\mathit c{}^{2}$ and the relative production rate of B( ${{\mathit b}}$ $\rightarrow$ ${{\mathit B}_{{2}}^{*}}$ $\rightarrow$ ${{\mathit B}}{}^{(*)}$ ${{\mathit \pi}}$ )/B( ${{\mathit b}}$ $\rightarrow$ ${{\mathit B}}$ $_{{{\mathit u}},{{\mathit d}}}$) = ($31$ $\pm9$ ${}^{+6}_{-5})\%$.
3  Using ${\mathit m}_{\mathrm { {{\mathit B}} {{\mathit \pi}} }}−{\mathit m}_{{{\mathit B}}}$ = $424$ $\pm4$ $\pm10$ MeV.
4  ACCIARRI 1999N uses inclusive reconstructed ${{\mathit B}}$ mesons to search for ${{\mathit B}}{}^{**}$ production in the ${{\mathit B}}{}^{(*)}{{\mathit \pi}^{\pm}}$ system. In the framework of HQET, they measured the mass of ${{\mathit B}^{*}_{\mathrm 1}}$ and ${{\mathit B}^{*}_{\mathrm 2}}$ to be $5670$ $\pm10$ $\pm13~$MeV and $5768$ $\pm5$ $\pm6$ with the B( ${{\mathit b}}$ $\rightarrow$ ${{\mathit B}}{}^{**}$)= $0.32$ $\pm0.03$ $\pm0.06$. They also reported the evidence for the existence of an excited ${{\mathit B}}$-meson state or mixture of states in the region $5.9 - 6.0$ GeV.
