MINS atmospheric ${{\mathit \nu}}$ with far detector
ADAMSON 2012B reports the atmospheric neutrino results obtained with MINOS far detector in 2,553 live days (an exposure of 37.9 kton$\cdot{}$yr). The muon charge ratio N(${{\mathit \mu}^{+}})/N({{\mathit \mu}^{-}}$) represents the ${{\overline{\mathit \nu}}_{{{\mu}}}}/{{\mathit \nu}_{{{\mu}}}}$ ratio. As far as the same oscillation parameters are used for ${{\mathit \nu}}$s and ${{\overline{\mathit \nu}}}$s, the expected ${{\overline{\mathit \nu}}_{{{\mu}}}}/{{\mathit \nu}_{{{\mu}}}}$ ratio is almost entirely independent of any input oscillations.
This result is obtained with a charge-separated sample of high resolution contained-vertex muons.
This result is obtained with a charge-separated sample of high resolution neutrino-induced rock-muons.
The charge-separated samples of high resolution contained-vertex muons and neutrino-induced rock-muons are combined to obtain this result which is consistent with unity.
ADAMSON 2007 result is obtained with the MINOS far detector in 854.24 live days, based on neutrino-induced upward-going and horizontal muons. This result is consistent with $\mathit CPT$ conservation.
ADAMSON 2006 result is obtained with the MINOS far detector with an exposure of 4.54 kton yr, based on contained events. The expected ratio is calculated by assuming the same oscillation parameters for neutrinos and antineutrinos.
